Nashua Gaffer Tape

Nashua Gaffer Tape (specifically the #357) became the industry standard for film, stage, and music by evolving from general tape production by the original Nashua Corp (founded 1849 in Nashua, NH) into a specialized, high-performance cloth tape known for clean release, high tensile strength, and writable surface, ideal for securing cables and gear without damaging surfaces, though its invention belongs to Ross Lowell (1959) who modified existing tapes for film sets, with Nashua perfecting the formula for professional use.
