Seamless molded shell construction

Acrylic drum shells generally come in one of two varieties: rolled or molded. While rolled acrylic shells are cheaper to produce and therefore lower in price, they can also present potential issues with tuning consistency, how well the drumheads sit on the bearing edges, and durability over long-term use. Pearl's Crystal Beat acrylic shells, however, are molded instead of rolled. Many Sweetwater drummers view molded craftsmanship as superior due to its seamless construction. This lack of a seam is important for a couple of reasons:
